word processing packages. The software contains 14 drivers for

Security features built into the software protect information and
functions from being shared with unauthorized employees. The
system tracks employees and keeps them accountable for their activities
on the system.
Hardware:
To get the most out of
your new Liquor Store Controller you will need an IBM compatible
PC with a 486/66 or better processor, 4MB RAM, a
250K hard drive and a 3.5" drive. You will also need a
monitor, keyboard, bar code scanner, receipt printer and electronic cash
drawer. The Liquor Store Controller is compatible with most
equipment available. We also highly recommend the purchase of a
battery backup system to protect your data in the event of a power
interruption or failure. Optional features include an 80-column
printer for report printing, a pole display and a backup system such as
a Colorado tape or Zip drive.
If your store takes credit cards as a form of payment, we
recommend the use of a third party software package called ICVerify.
Once the system is set up, the ICVerify interface with The Liquor
Store Controller is completely transparent to the user. To use
ICVerify, you will also need a credit card reader and a modem to
communicate with your bank or card processor.
